When we first visited the area, this site was but a pile of rubbish on a vacant lot. Fanny Mena was having Saturday morning snacks for children of the barrio in her house across the (unpaved) street and teaching songs, etc. to the kids. The foundation served at last count 44 HIV patients, 3 of them children, 13 teens, and 28 single mothers, along with their families. We have lost 3 of the grandmothers that we work with during the recent Covid-19 pandemic.
