Volunteers

One World is an international volunteer organization. We define a person's success more by how much a person gives than by his financial or social status. We encourage you to be a giver. Give of your time. Give of your money. Give of your ability. Give to your neighbors in need. Your neighbor may be next door or may be on another continent. 

Most of us can indeed give in our own community, but for many the resources for an international experience are not there. There are those for whom travelling anywhere is but a dream. For many, a One World trip represents the only possibility to have an international experience. We take some that had never been outside their home city.   

 We wish to fund people from inner city areas as well as rural areas...people from schools, churches and other organizations to help enable them to travel with one of our teams. A recent team consisted of 18 of us from North America with 16 South Americans. Another team had only 9 North Americans with 23 South Americans. Your contributions have enabled some persons from both continents to experience a trip they had not thought possible.  

You may want to volunteer to go with us yourself. Many cannot go themselves, but wish to contribute so that another might be able to do so. You may be one of those. If so, you may do that on our "Donate" page. Just mark your memo line"volunteer scholarship" and we will be certain that your gift will make a dream come true for someone.... a person who wants an opportunity to serve!
